Knot is shareware: if you like it, you’re asked to register it for a small sum. If not, please pass the program on to someone who you think might like it.
In return for your registration, you’ll receive the Flaming Pear Omnibus Disk this coming summer, full of software, knots, and goodies. You’ll also get notice of updates to the program, and a code word that banishes the “Please register Knot” message forever.
I’m using a shareware registration service run by Kee Nethery
(kee@kagi.com). The big advantage for you (and me) is that you can pay shareware fees with your credit card (VISA, MasterCard and American Express) via e-mail. This also makes it easier for people in other countries, since the currency conversions are handled automatically.
• Run the “Register” program that came with Knot, and just fill in the blanks. (If you don’t have it, write me at my address below, or lloyd@kagi.com, and I’ll find you a copy.)
• If you live in Canada, you have the option of sending a cheque for the registration fee converted to Canadian dollars to
“Knot 2.1”

A single-user registration is US$15. Schools, universities, and other institutions may buy a site license for US$400, and a world wide license is available for US$1600.
If you are a software distributor, you are welcome to include Knot 2.0 on a CD-ROM or disk collection, provided you send me some notification, and the whole Knot package is distributed unchanged and complete.
